2024 Tour de Fleece – Classy Squid Batts
Materials:
Fiber – A collection of seven Cuddlefish batts from Classy Squid Fiber Co.
Wheel – Ashford Traveler Double Drive
Details:
I got a late start to my TdF spinning since we were away on vacation in June and I hadn’t pre-planned what I was going to spin this year. Since we’ve got a lot going on right now, I didn’t want to commit to a huge project, so I decided to work on spinning my stash of Classy Squid batts. They’re fairly bite-sized projects that I can just do as many as I get done and call it good.
After a bumpy start (literally) with the first one, I decided to just let the batts spin how they want. I am picking out some of the lumpier, more belligerent pieces of stuff. I’m pretty sure I’m going to leave them as singles with the tentative plan of using them as weft in weaving projects.
