2025 Battvent

(Note: I’m using JoAnna’s IG picture for the battvent as my main picture, since I’m not spinning in the prescribed order and don’t want to spoil it for anyone doing it according to the packages days.)

12/3 – I have the unboxed version of this Advent, so I’m spinning the colors according to my own plan. My goal is to spin three bobbins of singles and then do a traditional 3-ply. For the first bobbin, I’m using the red-leaning batts.

12/8 – My first bobbin is finished! As always, I’m enjoying these little batts. I’ve been spinning two batts a day roughly every other day. I may work ahead though, since I’m likely to not spin once my mom gets here the week of Christmas. :thinking_face:

12/26 – Just finished my third bobbin of singles. Only the plying to go!

1/4 – I ordered an Ashford E-Spinner 3 on NYE day, and for the sake of my hip, I’m waiting until it arrives before I ply. It’s currently on backorder though, so I’ve got a bit of time to wait.

1/29 – The plied skein was VERY energetic, though it did settle down a good bit after soaking and a fairly aggressive thwacking (which I don’t usually do).

The finished picture doesn’t do the colors justice, but it’s the best I’ve got at the moment.
