Berry Plume
Materials:
Yarn: CeCe’s Wool Yarn Baby Fingering (these were half Yarn Babys by weight, though…confusing). I’ll add the colorways later…I need to look them up from my past project with them, as the tags are long gone.
Needles: US 4
Pattern: Plume, by Mary-Ann Lammers (Rav link, however the pattern — along with her whole collection of 110 patterns — is no longer for sale due to her retiring.)
Details:
7/19 – I’ve had this yarn in stash since purchasing it during Virtual MDS&W in 2020. I originally bought it to make a top, which I never did. I did use some of it for a woven scarf last year, but I’d like to get more of it used up.
I needed a happy project for it, and I went to my Rav library and searched “chevrons.” Of the patterns that came up, this one seemed like the best fit. (Also, I’m very sad to see that Mary-Ann Lammers has retired and taken down the all of her patterns now so they can’t be purchased. :slightly_frowning_face: It’s such a lovely collection.)
7/20 – Cast on last night. I forgot how light weight a fingering this yarn is, which is why it never turned into a top. I think I can power through making the cowl, though I may need to switch to metal needles, as the Lykke’s that I’m using right now have a little too much grab.
I’m only 4 rows in, but the little chevron boops are starting to emerge.
