Bright Colors Spinning Project
Materials:
Fiber: All from Fibernymph Dye Works –
3 oz. Never Not Color, dyed on BFL
3 oz. Jodhpur Blue, and 3 oz. Colors of India (not sure of of the fiber on these)
Spun on my Ashford Traveler; plied on my Schact Sidekick.
Details:
These are the last 3 braids I’d pulled out to try and spin during TdF last year. Obviously I didn’t get to them, but now that I’m working on them, my plan is to do a traditional three ply with one ply of each color.
3/6 – Finished the final skein’s plying today, along with two minis of the leftover blue and gradient fiber. Plying the second skein felt like it took forever but it was more than 100 yards larger than the first, so that makes sense. I haven’t soaked them yet to get final yardage, but I’m guessing for the two main skeins it’ll end up being around a total of 585 yds.

156 wraps; 100 gr.; 260 yd. unsoaked; XX yd. soaked
Skein #2 –
234 wraps; 144 gr.; 390 yd. unsoaked; XX yd. soaked
Leftover Colors of India – chain-ply
11 wraps; 5 gr.; 18 yd. unsoaked; XX yd soaked
Leftover Blue – chain-ply
12 wraps; 5 gr.; 20 yd. unsoaked; XX yd soaked
