Details:
I took this yarn away with me to my mom’s with no specific pattern in mind. While there, I decided to start something with it and landed on this free Laura Aylor pattern. I wanted something easy and simple that didn’t require a lot of thought, and this fit the bill.
So far, I’ve only had to mod one thing — I don’t like doing YOs at the beginning of a row, so I’m doing a K1, YO at the beginning of each RS row instead. It’s working fine.
These three skeins, while I apparently thought they’d work great together when I bought them, continue to be a conundrum. My first thought was to just fade from one to the next to the next, but since the one is predominantly blue, I thought that would look funny. Instead, I’m moving back and forth between colors in random chunks, fading some as I go and then doing chunks of a single color. No idea how this is going to turn out, but honestly, it’s a pretty low stakes project…I just want to get this yarn out of my stash.
I may switch up the amount of space between eyelet sections…I get bored easily so that might be fun. We’ll see.
