7/18 – Emma’s friend Heaven really likes a hat that I made for Emma 10 years ago. Emma asked if I could make one for them exactly like it, and aside from the color, I CAN actually do that because in 2015, past me took excellent notes on exactly how I made that hat. Current me is very thankful. :joy:

I sent Heaven options of the skeins of Rios I have in stash, and they told me their top choices. I picked the one I thought would look really lovely on them. Need to wind the yarn then I can get started! Shouldn’t take long at all to knit.
7/19 – Moving right along! I’ve finished the ribbing and am a couple of inches into the stockinette part. I love seeing Rios’s colors knit up. I’m having fun knitting this, especially because it’s for Heaven. It was one of the two specific colorways they picked as options, and I hope they like it.
7/22 – Done! I feel like this hat is really big, though it fits me fine brimwise. It’s def slouchy, but the measurements line up exactly with the first one I made. I haven’t weighed the hat yet, but based on the little ball left over, I’d say it’s pretty close to what I used for the first one. Maybe it’s just that my hat knitting style has changed a lot in 10 years, so this the feels extra big compared to how I tend to make hats now? We’ll see how Heaven feels about it.
