This was an oopsie skein of this colorway, but it’ll work fine for my own socks.
I’m following in the lead of Carol from A Stitch in Time podcast, who is making the same pair in the same pattern to mimic the chevron blanket that my grandmother made, which was the inspiration for the colorway! Not sure why I didn’t think of that, as I’ve made this pattern a couple times and really love it!
In a totally random turn of events, I was able to visit my grandmother’s grave (for the first time in decades!) yesterday, and I had “her” pose with my sock. LOL
7/30 – I haven’t worked on this in ages and I’m not sure why. It just isn’t the right time, I guess? I’m going to hibernate it until I feel it come back around.
1/18/26 – Pulled this back out to start working on again as one of my WIP projects for the KIS MALQ1 Challenge. I was excited to see that the first sock was already on the heel flap. It made it easier to get back into. Considering I might do the foot in plain stockinette? Maybe.
