Yarn: Fibernymph Dye Works Traveler sport weight, Luna Moth colorway, plus 20-gram minis of Eyespot Yellow and Outline Brown; from the September 2023 Lepidoptera Yarn & Fiber Club. Used 222 yards – all of the Luna Moth half skein, 10 grams of the brown mini and 8 grams of the yellow mini

11/3 – Cast on so I can take it with me to the concert tomorrow night.
Doing my usual 54 stitch sport weight count. Will use the brown for the heel flaps and the gold for toes.
11/4 – These cuffs are going to be a little longer than my usual shortie sock length as I wanted to get to the brown stripe before starting the heel flap, but it’s still a good length for me.
11/10 – Using the brown for the heel flaps and the yellow for the toes.
11/23 – Finished! I really had to be creative to finish the second sock, as the cuff of the first was significantly longer that my usual for a shortie pair, and since I was only working with a 50 gram skein of the striping, I ended up running out. I managed to use the bit that I wound off before starting the second sock, and stretched that as far as I could, but I still had to make the final brown stripe on the second sock quite thick. No one will see it but me, but man, the ends I had to weave in on that one from all of the putting things together like that. :}
