11/21 – I have two balls of the Fairy Lights colorway, as well as about a ball and a half of Cayenne, so between all of that, I am planning to knit a pair of shortie socks each for my mom, Emma, and me for Christmas. Starting with my mom, since she’s got the smallest feet. LOL

I’m not sure if I’ll do them each exactly the same or not, but they’ll at least be fraternally matching, if nothing else.

11/23 – First sock is done. I did 30 rds in the cuff, starting with the blue speckled section and ending after the green that followed the second repeat of the pink. My usual heel flap and turn in red, the back to the patterned yarn where it left off at the red speckle for the gusset. I knit the foot out to about 6 5/8″ ending with a green section following a red speckled section and the states the toe in red. I did one full round in red before starting the decreases and decreased down to 10 st on each needle as per my usual. Finished sock is measuring 8 5/8″ long. Hoping to be able to recreate this for the second sock. Adding the details here since it’s slightly different measurements than my usual socks.

12/2 – Finished the second sock last night…very matchy to the first, so win!

I’m estimating the yardage used for the pattern yarn and the red yarn, as I didn’t weigh it, but for the sake of the PSP, it really doesn’t matter. It adds up to the total weight of the socks, which is 44 grams. (Note to self…very important to remember to put the decimal in front of the grams used so it doesn’t look like I used over 10K skeins of yarn for a pair of shortie socks! LOLOL)
