1/28/26 – This was a delightful pattern to knit! I did need to go down to a US3 from the 4 recommended in the pattern in order to get stitch gauge, though my round gauge was quite off.
Finished dimensions ended up just under 8″ across laying flat and about 11″ long. I still need to block it and see how much it will grow. As it is now, it is quite a tight fit over my head, and I’m not sure blocking will open it up too much but we’ll see. This is meant to be a snug-fitting cowl, so I think it probably fits as intended by the designer. If I were to make it again, I’d probably add at least a few inches to the circumference and fewer motif repeats to the length, just to be more in line with my fit preferences for cowls.
Overall though, this is a terrific pattern, very potato-chippy to knit, and I highly recommend it!
1/30 – I wove in all of my ends this morning and will block it today. I’ll add an updated photo when it’s dry.
